New Racing Channel For Cord Cutters

FAST Studios, the Los Angeles-based venture studio creating the next generation of premium media brands, today announced a strategic partnership to launch a new free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel called Racing America. The channel serves as a new 24/7 home of grassroots racing, with more than 15 hours of live races per week and 3,500+ hours of original content that includes a slate of news-driven shows, archival races and a variety of NASCAR Cup Series team content.

The Racing America channel is launching under a new partnership with RTA Media Holdings, which is owned by the 14 member organizations of the Race Team Alliance. The channel is now live on LG, VIZIO, XUMO, Airy TV, Local Now, Netgem, Plex, Sports.tv and STIRR, with additional platforms to follow in the coming months.

“The new Racing America FAST channel represents an important extension of the Racing America brand and will serve as a significant pathway for new and existing fans to experience grassroots racing,” said Jonathan Marshall, executive director of the RTA. “The debut of the Racing America channel, as well as the launch of the new RacingAmerica.com website, are the latest investments by NASCAR team owners in their long term mission to promote and grow the sport of stock car racing.”

The channel is bolstered by FAST Studios, a strategic investor and operator of the new channel. FAST Studios utilizes its expertise in ad operations and sponsorship, channel marketing, streaming technology, financing, and programming to create valuable channel brands. FAST Studios will also support the ongoing development of original programming and packaging of Racing America’s existing IP for OTT.

“In sports, the game or race itself is only half the experience — casual and serious fans alike crave more. Our channel with Racing America represents a unique offering within the FAST space and fulfills consumer demand for more live races and off-the-track content that connects them with teams and drivers,” said Stuart McLean, CEO, FAST Studios.

DoorDash – the largest food delivery company in the country – will serve as the Official On-Demand Delivery Partner of Racing America. The partnership includes extensive branding and commercial inventory across Racing America programming.

Racing America follows the recent launch of SpartanTV, also from FAST Studios, and is the latest to join the company’s expanding portfolio of sports, lifestyle and entertainment programming in a growing slate of channel offerings, including the recently announced Women’s Sports Network where fans will find 100% women’s sports content front and center, launching June 2022, the 50th anniversary of Title IX.
