Kent Rees

Kent Rees is an industry-leading digital and content marketing strategist. As GM and CMO of FAST Studios, Kent will bring his marketing and content experience together and merge his traditional linear and digital best practices with the wide open possibilities and niche creativity of the AVOD space. In 2019, he co-founded a data-driven marketing firm specializing in audience growth for linear acquisitions, legacy content and direct-to-consumer services. Prior to that, he was the Chief Marketing Officer for Pop TV, where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing and digital including the successful launch of the Pop App and record-breaking ratings for Schitt’s Creekin season 4 and 5.

Other career highlights including his role as EVP and General Manager of Pivot, a pro-social cable network brand he helped build from scratch, the chief architect of the IFC rebrand to “Always On, Slightly Off”, the marketing, operations and brand lead on several YouTube and OTT start-ups and the now legendary launch of The Bachelor on ABC.

Kent went to NYU film, is an adjunct professor at Emerson College and is a former Promax BDA board member. When not marketing content, Kent can be found watching his beloved hometown Minnesota Vikings or listening to Bob Dylan.
