SailGP and The Women’s Sports Network Announce Archive Content Renewal Across the U.S.
SailGP, together with FAST Studios-operated The Women’s Sports Network, have announced an archive rights renewal for the 2025 Season to give SailGP women’s sport fans in the U.S. expanded access to the most exciting racing on water, including 52 hours of full program, highlights and premium docuseries content.
As part of the renewed partnership, ‘SailGP Sundays’ will return to the network beginning this Sunday, March 22, in celebration of Women’s History Month.
Through the partnership, women’s sports fans will receive expanded access to official SailGP footage, including full replays and curated programming from the 2025 Season of the Rolex SailGP Championship, the most competitive and globally followed season in the league’s history. That includes SailGP’s behind-the-scenes docuseries Racing on the Edge in partnership with Rolex. The deal is part of the league’s broader strategy to distribute non-live content across platforms, providing always-on engagement between SailGP events.
Melissa Lawton, Chief Content Officer at SailGP, said: “Renewing our partnership with The Women’s Sports Network is an exciting opportunity to further amplify the visibility of our global championship and the incredible athletes who power it. Through expanded access to our racing and storytelling, this partnership not only brings fans closer to the action, but also highlights the progress being made in elevating women’s performance at the highest level of the sport.”
SailGP is one of the only professional sports leagues where male and female athletes compete side-by-side on the same teams using identical equipment – creating professional pathways for female sailors that have not previously existed in the sport.
The championship, which is broadcast in more than 212 countries and territories around the globe, reached new heights in 2025, averaging a record 18.2 million viewers per event and 215 million total viewers for the season.
The partnership between SailGP and The Women’s Sports Network comes as women’s sports continue to see unprecedented growth in viewership, investment and cultural relevance. By bringing SailGP’s global racing competition to the network’s audiences, the two organizations will further accelerate access and engagement for fans across the U.S.
